
I recently began my second attempt at a fitness journey. I was in shape before, became very out of shape during COVID years, and I am now trying to get back into shape. While you can start living a healthier lifestyle with what you already have without spending any extra money, having the right gear can be motivating and it can help you focus better when you’re exercising. So when I decided to commit to getting fit again, I went to Reebok and bought some things to jumpstart my journey.

Athletic shoes


Having the right shoes is so important because the wrong shoes can contribute to injuries. Reebok Nano X2 is a versatile pair of shoes for many different types of training. They support the arch of my feet while I do my weightlifting exercises such as lunges. They just came out so they have the newest technology applied. While I could run in Nano X2, for cardio I like to have a separate shoes specialized for running. Reebok Energen Plus gives me adequate amount of friction no matter what kind of surface I’m running on.
Sports bras

Sports bras are essential because your breasts need the support when you’re moving your body. Running without a good sports bra is painful. You should get the sports bra right for the impact level of the workout. Reebok Running Essentials High-Impact Bra makes sure my chest stays in place while I run.
Athletic gloves

You can develop callouses in your hands from lifting heavy weights. Gloves protect your hands so they stay nice and soft. I like the Reebok United by Fitness Training Gloves because they help me grip the weights better and don’t make my hands feel sweaty. They also keep my hands warm when I’m running outside when it’s cold.
Yoga mat

Yoga mat is essential for at-home workouts. I don’t work out at home very often but I do stretch and foam roll at home and the Reebok Tech Style Yoga Mat makes sure I am supported in my post-workout recovery routine. It’s very thick and sturdy, and easy to carry.
Foam roller

Speaking of foam rolling, foam rollers can help with the muscle recovery after exercise. The Reebok Foam Roller alleviates the tension in my legs after a lower body workout. I can definitely feel the difference in my ability to walk the day after an intense leg day.

I’m a new mom and 5 months postpartum. I used to be active before and somewhat during my pregnancy but once I got COVID in my third trimester, I stopped due to my limited capabilities. I’ve been wanting to get consistent again. New fitness equipment always seems to motivate me to get active and push myself harder. Thank you for this reminder!
I super agree that having the right shoes matter. It’ll be hard to exercise if your feet hurt or you get injured because of the wrong shoes. I also like a good yoga mat and need to invest in more sports bras. ๐ My fitness essentials are yoga mat and sports outfit and of course the shoes! ๐
Great post! I recently purchased new running shoes and a sports bra and what a game changer that was! I felt like I could run further than ever before! Now if I could just find a replacement for the baggy t-shirt I still wear to the gym….

Great suggestions! I don’t use it very often anymore but I love my fitness mat, and I really need to look into investing in a good sports bra and good running shoes – I’m hoping to get into excerising more soon! Thanks for sharing x
